Hi, Can I move to broadband only after or before my contract expires? if so how can I get this arrange?
I will be working at home full time in my home office therefore I will require the fastest internet speed I can get like Gig1 if hardware is still available that is. Currently I am on TV/Phone/Broadband M350 package but I will not be needing TV and Phone.

Hi @k1n6
You can regrade at any time, but if still in contract you would have to pay early termination fees for any parts of the bundled package that you drop.

The most you can be charged in early termination fees is £288 including VAT.
It's sometimes cheaper to take the landline phone along with the broadband.
It might also be worthwhile to price up and take out an O2 sim and then take out the M500 broadband if you can get the broadband to Gig1.
Speak to Retentions (thinking of leaving) and see how much it would work out to drop the TV or TV and phone, and what deals they can provide going forward.

Do you really need the fastest connection you can get? If you're a software developer or video editor then that maybe the case, but even then you're hobbled by the pitiful upstream speeds. If you're doing a more regular job, then chances are that 350 is fine (I WFH two days a week, my wife is full time and home based, and our 200 Mbps connection has never remotely been stretched. If you want higher speed because you find that your current 350 doesn't work consistently for Teams and video calls, then a faster speed won't help because those types of fault are down to latency problems or packet loss faults (although in that case, this forum can help address such problems).
If the highest download and upload speeds are truly important you might also want to check to see if there's an Openreach FTTP option open now or soon, as typically the 900 Mbps download is offered with 115 up, which seems a better compromise than VM's 1100/56.
