Charged for "free" upgrade?

Hi, I'm a little confused. I am currently on M125 and my EE contract is almost up so I was looking at o2/volt. It implies I get double data, a free 3 months and a boost to the next broadband level, which for me is the M250.

However, when I select my volt sim, it is saying I will be charged almost double for my boost to M250? That's not exactly an incentive to join is it?

Have I misinterpreted the implied free boost?

Before changing your phone contract you should check whether O2 has as good coverage locally as you get on EE.  Some have changed and found that they don't.

My name is not Alessandro. That is just a tag Virginmedia foisted on me.

O2 is shocking for me they say full signal yet my local  mast has had a problem for 2 months since joining and my 4g is less than  0.8mbps....

Hello Matty831,

hanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear you are having an issue with upgrade cost.
I'd like to take a look into this for you.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great.
