Ok so I when I signed up to volt i made an agreement with a relative to take on the 02 sim the service isn’t great and nobody wants the sim
I’ve raised a complaint to 02 to investigate the network issues. They come back to me and advised critical parts of the network was down in my area and there’s no fix date
if I cancel the 02 side penalty free won’t this stop my virgin media benefits? Seems annoying I am stuck with this £25 mobile bill when even the network operating it advises me it’s not fit for purpose

Hi Jordanparky,
Thanks for your post and apologies to hear that the O2 side of things isn't working out for you and that there have been issues.
When cancelling the O2 SIM, this would mean you'd no longer be entitled to the Volt benefits that come with having the SIM. These would be removed at the end of your contract term.
If you do decide to cancel the SIM, this would need to be done with O2 directly. You can view their contact details here.
Let us know if you have any further issues.
Many thanks,

I have spoken to multiple people via the phone who tell me I cancel the 02 sim the virgin services will remain unchanged but I won’t be able to renew the contact when my 18 months is up which is fine

People from virgin or 0²?
Makes sense as I have 2 o2 by mistake and virgin can't end one or even know I have 2.
I'd be happy to keep it like you did mate. Did you get your first bill yet? If you have a virgin SIM did they end it?

I still haven’t managed to get a proper answer on this and need to raise a complaint the bottom line is I have a letter from 02 admitting a fault in my area leaving the sim unusable the only resolution on offer is to cancel the sim I need assurance everything on the virgin side will continue as normal
on the phone I seem to get passed between department and each advisor has a different answer

You keep the Virgin Volt benefits until the end of your contract period at which point they revert back

I was told when I got my o2 sim I would get strong 4g both indoors and outdoors. it was a lie.. the mast constantly shows as having issues in the my o2 app and my 4g instide and outside my house is around 0.1mbps... yes that is right 0.1 calls are problematic and people can never get what I am saying because of the breakup of the call. EE was perfect (with the same phone by the way) and my wifes 3 is too. I am really dissapointed that my o2 sim is basically unusable and for 25 quid a month is a rip off.. I have complained to O2 but they just say the issue will be fixed soon.. that is three months now....
