Broadband from TV Spliter

I have four TV set boxes working from a 5 way splitter (Cable IN then 4 OUT).  Should I be able to use one of the 4 OUT terminals to plug in my broadband temporarily which is not working and requires the street to be dug up.

All boxes in a home will be fed from one incoming cable from the street box. If your TV boxes are working and the broadband is not then it’s highly unlikely to be a problem with the incoming cable. Have you reported the problem to VM?

I have two cables that come from outside.  1 is very thick and connects to the four TVs which is working fine.  The other which is quite skinny connects to my broadband and when checked by the engineer had a poor signal.  So the engineer has asked for a 'repull' for the broadband one which will take over a month apparently.   So I was wondering if they can't just route my broadband from the splitter that is servicing the 4 TVs, whilst we're waiting on the repull.

Post a photo of the two cables as only one is ever brought into a premise.

It’s very unusual to have two cables from the street. If that’s the case a VM technician should be able to use the existing good one without doing a re-pull. You should not alter the cables yourself, you are only looking for trouble if you do it.

I have a large cable from the street in the middle of the splitter and then the three TV 360 Boxes split from there.  That all works fine.  The skinny cable in the front is also from the road and goes to the broadband,  this one doesn't work (weak signal).  So tried to ring VM loads of times but impossible to convince the customer services team in India and Manila. that I appear to have a fully functioning cable that surely they can add my broadband too.IMG_4901.jpg

You said you've got four boxes, now you say it's three. Is it four or three.

From the junction box in the picture, it feed 3 TV boxes,  (You can then see a spare terminal with nothing plugged in).  The skinny cable on the front gets joined up and fed around to the side of the house,  this cable then ends up in another junction box where it is split in two,  one of the cables goes to the broadband router,  the other cable goes to the fourth TV box

There is something weird going on as multiroom allows you to have up to two 360 mini boxes, so three boxes in total.
