Re: virgin remote cannot add to new TV

Hi Doro,

There are a couple of different methods you can try.

Before you start place a swear box at arms length and a pile of money 😉

Here's a list of codes for different TV's Remote Codes

Try this method please Remote not working

This is the offical Help page to help you pair the remote Pairing Remote

You can also try going to HOME > Help and Settings > Help > Set up Remote.

Follow instructions there it should give you a series of codes to try.

You can also put 0999 in place of the code and press channel up until the TV turns off, then press ok.

Hopefully you'll succeed with one of these methods.

Dave

Thank you ... The swear box sounds vital!  I’ll have a go and let you know how I get on!

Re: virgin remote cannot add to new TV

LG is usually one of the first ones on the 0999 list.

Assuming you have the V6 box:

Turn the TV on with its own remote control.

Press clear and TV, then press the thumbs down button 3 times and then OK to reset. Then press any button, the green light on the remote control will go green for about 10 seconds whilst it pairs with the V6 box.

Then, hold clear and TV again and key in 0999. Press the channel up button a couple of times and the TV will go off. You don't have to hold the button down, you can click it seperate times. Once the TV goes off, press ok to lock in the code.
