Re: sky sports new offer

I doubt it. What does the offer detail say?

Re: sky sports new offer

I took up this offer as well and can confirm that it's not HD.

Since I haven't watched SD in years, I just assumed it was in HD,

This isn't as good an offer as it seems and I might just leave after 1 day, as the picture is annoying me.

Re: sky sports new offer

thanks for this, no it is not a good offer, I paid £22 per month last year with HD.

Given there is now 4k, I am amazed HD is not charged as standard, SD should really see the S replaced by another word I can think of that more aptly describes the picture SD gives on today's large screen TV's

Thanks you saved me £22

Re: sky sports new offer

I too took out this offer and feel totally cheated and mislead.

The email states to watch in HD all you need is a suitable TV and HD box so I expected Sky Sports in HD.

I think this is miss selling.

VM need to give us HD ASAP otherwise we will all be cancelling.

Re: sky sports new offer

Good Afternoon cheshirealan,

Thanks for your post and I'm sorry to see that you're unhappy with the Sky Sports package not including HD.

The selling of this content, as well as the package deal and pricing of that deal is not within the jurisdiction of Virgin Media, as this is purchased from the third party broadcaster.

If you would like to have the HD channels, then this would require the HD services to be added on as an extra subscription

Sorry for any miscommunication

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Re: sky sports new offer

Thanks for replying David

I understand that Virgin are at the whim of Sky but .............. the wording of your emails isn't. The email wording does NOT say it would be SD only and states I would receive HD content as long as I had the relevant equipment, which I do.

There would have been no complaint if the wording was accurate as I would have known what I was buying.

How much is it going to cost to obtain HD content?
