Virgin Store Movies

Why are movies so expensive to purchase from the Virgin Store?   The three movies I wanted to watch are double the cost of those being sold in supermarkets!

Re: Virgin Store Movies

Convenience factor?

Saves visiting a shop for stuff that's not "essential" too...

Re: Virgin Store Movies

It appears VIrgin Media are cashing-in on people having to stay indoors!  As supermarkets are selling film DVD's and if you have to go to one its a no-brainer.

Eg. I wanted to buy Downtown Abbey 2019 film at Christmas.  Virgin Store £10.99 - Morrisons £5.99

Not happy about these prices differences at all.

I don’t understand why you are not happy. You’ve done the comparison. Now, make your choice.

Re: Virgin Store Movies

Unfortunately being in my 70's and listed as vulnerable I am unable to go to the supermarkets to buy reasonably priced DVD's. I have my groceries delivered but am unable to purchase DVD's on 'Groceries on-line.

Re: Virgin Store Movies

Mickey

I was a bit put off buying from ebay as I have previously purchased 2 DVD films from there.  One new one which I believe was a pirate, and one second hand one that kept sticking!  I will give it one more try though.

Re: Virgin Store Movies

Hi again buy only new so Amazon will be better than Ebay who do sell new, I agree don't buy used as you have found they are not looked after. Regards Micky

Re: Virgin Store Movies

Hi.  Yes, so back to square one!  Amazon movies far to expensive for me to purchase, second-hand DVD's bit doubtful.  So, I will have to wait for the films I wish to see to be shown on the TV, or Amazon charge realistic prices.
