Unauthorised Netflix cancellation?

I received my VM billing email notification last week and noticed it had reduced by a few £££’s but had no idea why.

I have just received an email ‘apparently’ from Netflix that reads thus,

Unfortunately, Virgin Media has let us know that your account could not be billed through your Virgin Media subscription. We are cancelling your membership, effective from Monday, 16th March 2020.
If you have any billing questions please contact Virgin Media.

Obviously we'd love to have you back. All you have to do is restart your membership.

I have definitely not authorised cancellation so what is going on?

Jim

Re: Unauthorised Netflix cancellation?

Hi I think there is a lesson here, contact Netflix direct and reopen your account directly with them, they are very easy to deal with, and dare I say it their customer service runs rings round virgins.Regards Micky

Re: Unauthorised Netflix cancellation?

Thanks for your reply.

There is a link in the email to reinstate my account and I can confirm it has been deactivated. I would really like to know why this has happened without any authorisation from me.

Edit, I have just tried the link and there is no option to add Netflix to my VM account, I have to use debit/credit card, PayPal etc.
