Tv box keeps crashing

My very old box 

Started doing this a few weeks ago and Now it's doing it about 3 times an hour!

The lights on the front flash then it all goes off and goes through a lengthy start-up proceedure. Very annoying.

Tried the online service checker, it said there was a technical issue with the box but none of the troubleshooting steps help.

 

Please advise

Any box that is restarting more than occasionally/overnight likely has a fault.

I'd suggest calling Virgin faults and reporting it.

Any way of doing it without calling as I’ve spent over 3 hours on hold up them this week already and I don’t have a landline phone so it’s eating all my minutes and costing a fortune! Have put in complaints through website but have not heard anything whatsoever..it’s totally frustrating. I did speak to someone last week who said he was arranging an engineer for last Tuesday but apparently he was lying...
