Tv aerial??

  • I want to use the built in freeveiw on my tv because my TiVo box doesn't work. I want to keep using the virgin BB. Problem is I can't find my old tv aerial point, only the virgin one. Surely they wouldn't have removed it? And is it possible to have the BB connected and also a normal tv aerial at the same time?

Re: Tv aerial??

Hello

It will not affect your broadband using the freeview, to use freeview it will need to be connected to your TV Ariel.

Re: Tv aerial??

Can you go outside and see what cables you've got. Take some photos as just above ground level there should be an omni box, usually brown or gray, which terminates the VM cable, and your aerial cable should come from above. I'm hoping that the VM tech didn't connect the VM cable to the aerial cable.

Re: Tv aerial??

There's a brown box on the wall outside, I can see the brown cable but on the inside of the house it's just white cables. I took a photo but I don't know how to get it on here

Re: Tv aerial??

Yes I used it before I got virgin installed. It's like the engineer replaced the socket or something so now I can't switch back to normal freeview.

Put your cursor on the camera icon, you'll see 'Insert Photos' which confirms that you've selected the correct icon, click on the icon and select your photo.
