Soundbar was connected via optical cable. Looks like I'm just going to have to purchase another soundbar to resolve it
Report the V6 as faulty, hopefully all will be fine with the replacement V6. If the TV's speakers still don't produce the sound, I'd then suspect the TV.
BTW, when reporting the V6 just say that the TV's speakers don't work when connected by HDMI but work with everything else. Don't muddy the water by mentioning a soundbar.
