I have been charged £11.70 extra on top of my usual bill for sky sports pause. Does anyone know why?

It's a pro rata chargeback. The Sky pause discounts were applied for a month at a time.
You would have received a credit for the month of £27.00 for Sky Sports.
Sky started charging for the Sports again on 19th July, so did Virgin.
Therefore Virgin will have had to claw back the difference from your billing date. In my case it was £11.70
