Second TV upstairs was a Tivo box, replaced by V6. Not working Help

Hi all

New to Community. My Tivo box in bedroom broke and was replaced by a V6. Wasn’t sent a connector cable or new remote , so had to ring again. 
Thought would be able to connect and carry on but from other comments this is not possible. My question is, do Virgin sort this out or are we expected to get wiring and Ethernet cable. Seems a con to me!
