Refund

Finished with Virgin in August had final nill on 9th September showing i was in credit. Still received no credit 5 weeks later. Rang yesterday on their premium rate phone line and was told i MAY be refunded in next two weeks!!! Is this usual?

There is no premium rate number (or at least if there is it should have been inactivated).
You call on 150 (free on VM lines) or 0345 454 1111 (national rate) on all other networks - usually included in your "free" minutes bundle.

The cheque refund will be sent to you 35 working days following a disconnection

Hi there @ph_wilson

 

Thanks for popping back. 

 

If you had your final bill around 9th September, I would imagine that your account fully closed around 1st or 2nd September is that correct? 

 

If so, your cheque would be processed 35 days after this which would be around 7th October. We then advise to allow up to 10 working days for delivery. 

 

So, if you have still not received your cheque by Monday or Tuesday next week, pop back and we can chase this for you 🙂 

 

Very sorry about any misunderstanding around your cheque refund.

Two moderators with totally different stories what a surprise. I certainly wont return to Virgin however bad Sky get.

My colleague @Chris_W1 was correct in the fact that he advised it would be sent 35 days after the account was disconnected. I just went into a bit more detail to explain it further for you 🙂

You are missing the point I was disconnected on 19th August, 35 days after that is NOT Monday or Tuesday next week. Don't bother responding, it frankly isn't worth it.
