Recording Programmes

A lot of the programmes I have recorded are unwatchable as the picture jumps and has loads of interference on it and the sound is just like a stuck record and stuttering

it’s not just one channel this happens to when I record it’s on quite a lot and seems to be happening a lot more lately?

I've run a test on my equipment which says all is OK ?

Any suggestions please?

Re: Recording Programmes

Can you watch live TV channels ok?

How about when you pause or rewind live TV?

It could be a signal issue, or a hard drive issue - the answer to these 2 questions, will point us in the right direction.

You're looking to see whether paused TV (which also uses your box's hard drive) is also affected by... "picture jumps and has loads of interference on it and the sound is just like a stuck record and stuttering "

Re: Recording Programmes

That would seem to rule out hard drive problems then.

Are new recordings affected by this problem you had, or is it only particular ones? Perhaps there was a problem with the broadcast channel at the time they were made.

Re: Recording Programmes

Its happening with new recordings over any channels it appears as I record Soccer AM, sometimes it records fine other times unwatchable, and that applies to channels I've been recording on BBC, Gold, Dave, ITV and its a bit annoying when you're looking forward to something and its totally unwatchable.

I've run a test but it all comes up OK, I assume they will need to send an engineer out as I'm not putting up with this any longer as I pay enough for the service and the service is not available, any idea the best contact would be please, and many thanks for your help, greatly appreciated.

Re: Recording Programmes

The pattern makes no sense to me, but..

Your contact is the usual one. 150 from a VM phone, or 0345 4541111 from any other phone.

Choose the option for "I have a fault with my TV service"
