Picture pixelating anything recorded

Every programme I record the picture pixelates , never happens when watching normal tv just thing I have recorded

Which box do you have? If you're not sure, check here 

You've mentioned that live TV is ok - how about if you pause/rewind live TV?

All is fine it just happens on recorded programmes

So pixellation on live TV is often a symptom of a signal fault.

Both recorded programmes and paused/rewind TV uses your box's hard drive.

If recorded programmes are affected, but paused TV is ok, this would tend to suggest that a live channel had a problem while you were recording.
