My problem is that several channels are not watchable as the screen is pixelating and flashing pink. I have tried to run the test but it keeps stopping with a technical error. I have checked all the cables and turned off the Tivio box but nothing has worked. Any ideas?
Colours going awry as you describe, can often be a dodgy HDMI cable or port - have you tried swapping this?
Pixellation is a symptom of TV signal issues, if you've restarted your box and this has failed to resolve then you need to report your fault to VM.
First check by calling 0800 5610061 that there's no area faults that could cause this. If not, then call Virgin faults - 150 from a VM phone or 0345 4541111 from any other phone, and follow the options for "I have a fault with my TV service".
You're likely to need either an engineer visit or replacement box.
