Paused sports channels

I paused sky and Bt sports and received email confirmation. I have received a credit on my account for £36 dated 30.03.20 but on the 20.4.20 they full direct debit payment was taken out of my account??? Why i thought my bill would be reduced does anyone know what happens please Thanks

But have you yet received a BILL showing that credit?

By the Direct Debit agreement, they have to debit the amount shown on a bill or payment schedule.

If you have got a document with the reduction shown as a payment, then go to your bank for an immediate refund under the agreement.

Thanks for posting Sue222 and welcome to our community.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues or confusion around your billing.  If the bill for the direct debit was produced before the credit on 30th March, then the full balance of that bill would have been taken. I am sorry, the direct debit does not automatically adjust to factor any adjustments. I would like to investigate further on your behalf.  To do this I am going to send you a private message.  Please look out for the purple envelope in the top right of your screen,
