No sound on either of our 2 boxes

  1. Hello all, am having a problem with no sound at all, tv is working as can watch channels on smart tv..

have tried the good ole reboot several times (been 2 days).pictures great! Tried turning off the internet lots, tested the back cables are secure, have tested with “working” cables all to no avail. 

any advice would be great

Hello,

Are you able to get the Virgin Menu up and go through the channel guide etc. Or is just that the V6 box isn't on the correct source?

Yes you can see and move everything, change channels, just no sound!

hi there,
have you changed or tried a different HDMI lead? Failing that plug the HDMI cable into another port on the TV just to rule out the port its currently connected to

hello, thanks for your reply, yes have tried that too. its very strange, the internet has been awful but put that down to lots of people at home. the TV is now not working and its both boxes. we can hear player on the smart hub so its not the TV.
