New house - where to locate box?

Hi, we’ve just moved into a new house which is a bit of a fixer-upper! We’re currently living in the back room while we renovate the front room. We’re having Virgin TV, broadband and phone installed tomorrow morning. It hasn’t been installed here before. Some engineers came earlier this week to run a cable through our front garden and fit a box to the exterior wall outside the front room. We’re wondering whether it is possible to have our Virgin wall socket installed in the front room but to run a cable through to be able to watch TV in the back room for now? It’ll only be a few weeks before we ‘move into’ the front room but it’s not really habitable yet. I’m sorry if I’m being dense as I’m not sure how it works! Hope this makes some sense! Any help appreciated!

Re: New house - where to locate box?

they can do that but when you want to move it back you will have to use the same cable or pay VM £99 to come and replace and rebalance the cable.

you can't change any of the coax cable yourself
