Netflix doesn't work

I start Netflix App (and channel 204), the home page appears, I select a programme to watch, the % indicator swirls round to 100%, the programme starts (HDR is triggered on my TV) and then 1 second later stops with an error message of:

"We're having trouble playing this title at the moment.  Please try again later or select a different title".

In the corner of the screen it says tvq-pm-100 (5.2.12).

The wifi connection to the v6 is over 100mbs my netflix is an Ultra HD subscription.

I have tried

  • turning the V6 on/off.
  • Signing out and in again on the App.
  • Tried re-loading the app.

Netflix works fine on my Nvidia Shield box connected via wifi sited right next to my V6.

Any suggestions.

I've had this issue permanently since December and intermittently before that, I'm not aware of any fix. I even seem to remember someone on here said they'd done a full clear and rest of the box and that hadn't fixed it.

@modteam why do you include the netflix app if it doesn't work on the V6 boxes?

Netflix works perfectly well on both my V6 boxes.

Full HDR 4k etc? What subscription type do you have?

Have you tried temporarily putting a different TV (or computer monitor) onto the V6 and see what happens ?
Perhaps try a non-4k Full HDR one?

it is the same issue regardless of the format of the Netflix show.

All my "boxes" go through my AMP, 4k HDR compatible, so they all connect to the TV using the same HDMI cable.

This is the only app on 4 different boxes that does not work.

Netflix and other 4k & HDR stuff (Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer) works on PS4s, Nvidia Shields, etc all with the same connection pathway. So I know the connection pathway works.

I'm on the HD package with HD TV and amp, but I do know people that have 4k Netflix with HDR and don't have any issues, although they don't have an amp.

Have you taken the amp out of the equation to test?
