Moving Virgin Box

Hello Everyone,

We are about to start decorating & reorganising our living room and as part of that I want to move where the Virgin cabling comes into the house so that the current spaghetti arrangement is hidden.

Is it possible to cut/move the cabling yourself and are there any hidden issues with doing this?

Re: Moving Virgin Box

Simple answer. It is a serious breach of your contract to alter or otherwise interfere with any of the VM cables. If you do and introduce noise or errors in the network segment VM will charge you for putting it right. They will also charge you for compensation for all the other customers on that segment if they lose or have degraded service and ultimately they will simply terminate your services.

At the moment VM will not carry out the work you need to avoid exposing their techs and you to virus risks. When the service returns, as it will the charge for this discretionary non-fault work is £99.
