Just lost some HD channels.

At about 0010 am on Sunday 10 May. Was watching one, when screen froze and then said it wasn't authorised.

Re: Just lost some HD channels.

Same for me. Not just HD channels. Looks like some of the 'extra' channels provided recently have been removed: Fox, Sky, W.

Re: Just lost some HD channels.

Same here.

Thought it was too good to be true when we got those extra HD channels...

Virgin costs a small fortune every month and its HD offering really is pathetic - it's not 1970 any more.

Let's hope this is just a mistake.

Re: Just lost some HD channels.

Not a mistake.

Here is the original press release.

https://www.virginmedia.com/corporate/media-centre/press-releases/virgin-media-gives-customers-free-...

Freeview periods like this are courtesy of the channels involved. When they say they end, they end. The same goes for the payment “holiday” on the sports channels, where VM had to get agreement from Sky/BT before credits could be issued. VM does not own the channels. They cannot just do what they like or they are in breach of their agreements.

Virgin BB TV Landline. Freeview/Freesat HD, Virgin Mobile, Tesco Mobile. Cable customer since 1993
