Just had virgin installed, but as had just moved in technician did not connect the TV as it was still packed away.
Attached the TV yesterday to find that pretty much none of the channels work..... getting an error code 7400
Tried calling but having no answer for an hour + TWICE wondered if there is another way to fix this blumming issue

If this is the case, why do engineers not inform you that the box needs to be activated? nor provide you with a number?
I have gone through the "activation" steps on the box
Also some channels and Sky cinema are working so if the box was "inactive" would this still be the case?
Please can you try the following (This method often finds missing channels)
Using your remote control go to Help & Settings > Help > Virgin TV > go up to the top of the screen then TV Care and press OK > Missing Channels.? > Refresh my channels list
