Interference with Samsung soundbar

We have recently bought a Samsung Smart TV and Soundbar. However the soundbar had terrible interference, so we assumed it was faulty, and sent it back. Replacement arrived yesterday, but same thing! A family member suggested unplugging the Virgin (TIVO) box to see if that made a difference - and it does! So seems somehow the Tivo box is interfering with the Soundbar. Anyone else ever had this? Any ideas how to stop it?! As obviously want to listen to Virgin programmes through the soundbar too, and not have to unplug it anytime we want to watch anything else. Tivo box, DVD player and soundbar are all connected to the TV via HDMI (HDMI arc for the soundbar).

Thanks

Re: Interference with Samsung soundbar

Hi LilyPop,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry you've been getting some interference when using your TiVo box. I can appreciate you want to get this sorted out.

Can you please change the sound settings on your TiVo box to PCM and let me know if this helps at all?

Thank you,

Melissa
