Sorry to see you have a green screen dvr problem. This is commonly called the greens creen of death and means your hard drive is kaput.
Unfortunately you need to contact the Faults team on 150 from a Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111, options 1,1 and 2 (Faults) butbest to call at 8am to avoid call queues or around tea time.
When the phone is eventually picked up you will get the automated response asking you to press 1 for the link to online support, ignore the options and don't press any buttons then you should be placed into a queue and an agent should pick up the phone and resolve the problem.
You could also try the text messaging service. Just send a text with a description of TV Faults to 07533 051809. Your message will go into a queue and a representative will respond to you as soon as possible. It may take a few days.
A member of the Forum Team may pick this up for you but it will take a few days to a week, so sadly the quickest way is having patience and using the phone. Put it on loudspeaker and carry on with something else.

If this is the "your DVR has a serious problem, please allow 3 hours" message, then newapollo is correct - the hard drive has failed and you need a replacement box. Should be a simple job for faults C/S to arrange.
If it's a plain blank green screen, it could be a duff HDMI cable.
