False advertising of channels on Virgin TV

When will Virgin Media stop advertising channels that are no longer available?

Pages like this and this.

You are currently promoting channels such as Universal TV and Your TV as being available despite them being removed a long time ago.

In this section there are lots of channels listed as included in Entertainment Picks that are no longer available on Virgin TV:

  • Universal TV (SD)
  • Universal TV +1
  • Crime & Investigation (SD)
  • Discovery (SD)
  • Animal Planet (SD)
  • Nat Geo Wild (SD)
  • History (SD)
  • H2 (SD)
  • Love Nature (SD)
  • Good Food (SD)
  • Good Food +1
  • Good Food HD
  • Lifetime (SD)
  • Lifetime +1
  • Real Lives
  • Real Lives +1
  • VH1
  • Box Upfront

Watch, Watch +1, Watch HD are now W, W +1 and W HD.

History HD, History +1 and H2 HD are now Sky History HD, Sky History +1 and Sky History 2 HD.

Meanwhile, there's no mention of Sky Comedy and Sky Comedy +1 which are now in all the Entertainment Picks.

MTV Classic, Sky Crime and Sky Crime +1 are now in the Entertainment & Lifestyle Pick.

There's no Sky Comedy +1 on Virgin Media.

Ah yes, because Sky Comedy and its HD version replaced Universal TV and its HD version, I forgot the +1 wasn't replaced.

Hmmm... so VM are still misselling these packages almost 2 months later. Anyone that has signed up and isn't getting what they paid for might want to tip of the ASA or trading standards.

That's nothing.

On the My VM web pages they are still announcing changes/news over 18 months old, including Pay Events!!

Even more annoying is the EPG programme information. Though its probably the broadcaster to blame, the episope shown is often not the one shown/recorded. Just as bad is no series/episode at all and the description i the generic one for the whole series.
