Error 7400

Hello. I am at my wits end. I can see the TV, channels and everything as normal, but overlayed over the top and flashing around is
'Sorry, there seems to be a problem. To help fix this issue, please visit virginmedia.com/tvcode and enter your Error Code (7400).'
To confirm:
* It has been installed for at least 5 weeks;
* it has been re-started several times;
* It has been unplugged and re-plugged and re-configured several times. 
You can see the entirety of the TV channels, shows, everything works, just the error message is overlaid on top. 
Any suggestions?

You need to phone in as your box needs activating.
