Email for upgrade box

I received the email today about upgrading to the new box. But I am struggling to see the why I would up-grade and lose all my current recordings. 

If I was to upgrade my router is in a different room than my currentbox so it is recommending to book a engineer to fit. 

The offer is not showing the mini box in the picture is this the same for everyone ?

I had two V6 Boxes and received a main box and a mini as replacements.

With regards to losing your recordings. if you upgraded then obviously that is a downside so you should take that into account before deciding whether or not to upgrade.

Bear in mind that if your box breaks down and needs replacing, you will still lose your recordings. This is the same whether you are with Sky, BT or any other provider recordings cannot be transferred from one box to another.

Ignore the message about being in a different room, it's incorrect. you wont need an engineer if that matters?

Also you would only get the minibox if you already have more than one box
