Different address

I've basically just moved from an address which I had virgin media; taken my box to the new house and plugged it in, and everything works as it did at my previous address. The previous house owner only had virgin broadband but not tv. So I'm just wondering why this is? The address that i moved out of is still paying the bill for the services I had when living there, So is this why it works at the new address? Thanks

Your hub is still activated so it continues to work. When the account for your old address is closed on moving day the hub will be deactivated and will stop working so it will need to be reactivated for the account in your new home.

Sorry, should have mentioned that it's the tv box that I've plugged in, and not a wifi hub. I assume it will be the same for both? Thank you for the reply 👍

Yes, same for both so you'll need to reactivate your TV box on moving day. Getting through on the activation number is likely to be difficult but an alternative would be sending a text to 07533051809, the information needed would include your account number, area code and box serial number.
