Connecting a projector

Hi, I’m looking to add another multi room box with a projector connected as output. However when playing about and connecting the projector to an existing box (v6 box which is our main box) it not only disconnects the Virgin feed for that room but also existing multi room boxes upstairs and disconnects internet as well. Any ideas as I am stumped! Thanks

Re: Connecting a projector

It definitely does though, the moment I swap the hdmi leads over from the one connected to my tv the one connected to a projector the v6 box loses signal and my son upstairs shouts that he has lost reception as well plus the router error lights come on

Re: Connecting a projector

V6 is connected to projector via a fibre optic hdmi cable as it is needed to run a 5m + length and standard hdmi cable of that length was losing connection intermittently

Re: Connecting a projector

try moving the projector and connecting using the same cable that works with your tv

Re: Connecting a projector

It's possible that the cable is connected the wrong way round.

Most Fibre Optic cables must be installed in the correct direction: The Cable with SOURCE plug for connecting HDMI source devices(Laptop, Blu-ray Player, SetTop Box etc.); DISPLAY plug for connecting your HDMI display devices(HDTV, Projector, Monitor etc.)
