Can't change package online despite text telling me too

Can't get through on phones, on hold for 45 mins then cut off twice! Tried the text number but that's says go to a web address to change package, I go there and it says 

"

Oops! Something went wrong.

Sorry, we’re unable to change your package online.

 

What am I supposed to do now? We are paying lot of money each month for something that we are not using please help us.

You can’t downgrade or cancel online.

You will need to persevere on the phone.

It's completely impossible to get through on the phone.  They cut you off after about 50 mins.  It's outrageous this isn't available online when they (understandably) are not able to answer phones.

It cuts off after about 50 mins.   They could easily add the option online but only allow you to spend more rather than less there.

If you look at my initial post it give the option of changing the package but when you click it -
"Oops! Something went wrong.

Sorry, we’re unable to change your package online."
I wonder if Virgin are getting a refund from sky sports..

The Virgin Media website hasn't allowed changes/downgrades on line for EXISTING customers (except for minor campaigns) for years!!

Neither can you get real quotes for packages/bundles/broadband. Those on the website are for NEW customers only.

If you do manage to get through on a phone only "Retentions" can make significant changes. Even then they only offer one cost for a 'bundle' per month and a 'promotion & discount'.

Its impossible to do a comparison to other suppliers except on total cost pm.
