Can Broadband and TV come into my House at seperate Points

I currently have Virgin Media BB and am thinking of upgrading to include TV.  My problem is that the BB enters the house at the front into my study which is fine for penetrating the rest of the house.  If I have TV as well I would want the TV to enter the house in a different place, at the back of the house.  The cable would have to go over a flat roof extension, which is the lounge where the TV is located. I do not want a lot of internal cables which would otherwise be necessary.  The BB should not enter the house at this point because it is an extension it is separated from the rest of the house by an external wall which will limit the wifi coverage.  Would there be a problem with this ?

Re: Can Broadband and TV come into my House at seperate Points

Hi

The cable can go round the back no problem at all. The cable route you described is fine.

If you PM some detail and I can arrange for someone to speak to you about adding the TV services. Just a name and number please.

Hi, this shouldn't be a problem.  If WiFi signal is poor in that area we could supply Wireless powerline adaptors to overcome the issue with the signal to the TV.  If u wold like someone to contact you regarding the packages then PM me your contact details and i will get this arranged.

Great.  Would I be able to have a bb signal at the back with the TV as well to help improve the overall signal ?

you can only have one wireless hub. You can install your own access points or boosters if needed

Re: Can Broadband and TV come into my House at seperate Points

Many thanks for all the answers so far

My current set up is Freesat connected to a Humax Box.  And I also have a rooftop aerial providing a normal terrestial TV source.  Can I retain both of these with a Virgin Media set up as well.

Does the VM cable connect to the VM box which then connects to the TV and if so what sort of connector does the VM box need ?

Yes, you can retain both your satellite and Freeview services, as well as have cable TV.

The Virgin Media TV box connects by HDMI to your TV.

Re: Can Broadband and TV come into my House at seperate Points

Thanks

That is a problem as my TV only has 2 HDMI slots, one is used for the Humax box and the other by a Roku box which allows me to use BBC iplayer and youtube etc.  Is there any way round this ?
