BT Cancellation

Hi Everyone,

So whats the procedure for cancelling my BT broadband and Phone? I have had Virgin broadband and phone installed a couple of days ago. Just phoned BT and they said Virgin need to pick up the phone number before anything gets cancelled. Do I have to do anything?

Hi,

If you have ported the number from BT this should have happened at the time of install. If you have a new landline number and you are happy with that then BT just need to cancel the account.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Keeping the same number. Installation guy said it might take 5 days to transfer over the number to Virgin. The line is working I just don't have my old number yet. Once that's done do virgin then tell BT to cancel everything? that's what the BT guy said. That true?

Hello

Yes that is true as soon as port is completed BT will cancel the account.

Still not transferred my BT number over 😞 How can I actually SPEAK to someone at Virgin?

Online just doesnt work!
