9 year old tivo box not connecting re booted red light on right. I have tried everything need a new box

9 yr old tivo box not working, tried rebooting,  with all cables attached detached, just says no connection, tried new hdmi  lead, shows starting up then back to showing no connection. Looking at box red light on never seen before when starting up (usually only on when recording).

 

Help 2 young kids giving me grief.

Are the red lights on the front-right of the box alternating on/off?

What lights do you have on the front-left? Should be 2 green and a third flashing when the remote is used.

Tivo box broke

All lights flashed on old tivi box  one stayed on, rebooted tried everything, however light stays on on tivo, on telly just says, starting up, reboots, shows starting up, then no connection on hdmi, replaced hdmi, go through motion and repeats the above. Box is old and have spent 4 hours on phone trying to get through, no one answers just a song plays and plays.

 

As much as I love the virgin media package if I do not get this sorted will stop payments and move to another supplier.

Rather than starting a new post, it's much easier if you can click "reply" in your original post and keep your response in the same place.. I've done if for you 🙂

It does sound like your box is stuck in a boot loop and potentially needs replacing.

I sympathise with your C/S issues, I really do. But cancelling your regular payments is a surefire way to make things worse. VM's missed payments process will do many things - perhaps remind you of your missed payments, suspend your services for non-payment maybe, eventually put some entries on your credit file reflecting your outstanding balance etc etc.

I don't advise it.
