7400 error after adding channels

I phoned to add Sky Sports and Talk More Anytime.

Since then one of my V6 boxes has shown error 7400. The other box seems to be okay. I suspect they deactivated the 2nd box by mistake. Rang 150 but was cut off twice after 1hr on hold.

Anyone know how to fix this (or contact VM so other way).

Hi lanpee,

You may be right about them deactivating the second box in error. Normally you need to phone 0800 953 9500 to get your box re- activated. Looking at a few ot the posts in the braodband section it looks like there may be a problem with the activation process  so I suggest you wait until 8:00am tomorrow when the lines reopen and try then.

You will need the box serial number, and your account and area number

When doing the channel upgrade the person in the call centre must have removed the 2nd box from my account.

I phone this morning and all is sorted now, plus some extra discount 🙂

Thanks for the update. I'm pleased the issue is sorted now.

I guess every cloud has a silver lining since you managed to obtain some extra discount. I hope it was a recurring discount and not a one off, but highly unlikely.
