were very slow to install our v6 box

We upgraded to V6 a year ago but never got round to installing the v6 boxes. We 2 have lines, the main one downstairs has been working on a Tivo box (it says on the screen, the box is a UHD4K) and the one upstairs has not been in use.  Can we install the v6 boxes now without phone calls, etc.  Im guessing not, because they asked us to return them a while ago, which we obviously havent got round to yet either!

And as a parting shot, can we save the saved programmes from the Tivo box?
