virgin v6 box

hi i have a issue when i go to switch a channel it takes about 15 seconds to load but sometimes i get a error code v53 . i have checked all the wires and as i have a extra box with my package i have switched them around and still the same problem .

Hi, if a reboot doesn’t clear the V53 error this can be a signal fault. 
I’m  assuming the box upstairs doesn’t display this fault? If it does the thing both boxes have in common is the cable up the garden or the splitter it will be attached too  

The coax cable Or connectors that carries the signal Could be damaged, or it could be that the connectors are loose. 

if you have checked these then you could need a technician to investigate further.

thanks for your reply, i have checked the cables and they seem fine. how would i get a technician to visit in the current situation regarding covid 19
