Re: shock protector for V6 box remote control

Hi

Nothing like this exists from Virgin Media.

I have had a quick search on Google and all I can see are stickers for a V6 remote.

If you have a good look online you may find something that fits the bill.

Re: shock protector for V6 box remote control

Thanks, I had seen the stickers but am looking for something to protect the remote itself, which my son keeps dropping!!

I’ve looked at everything currently on the market and nothing out there fits the V6 remote.

Might be something for virgin to look into as I think there are now a lot of people with hard floors, which the remote does not compete well with when repeat offenders keep dropping the remote😊

For now I guess I'll just have to make one with a glue gun ☹

Thanks, but I've already had a few replacements and bought spares. I'm now looking to protect not keep replacing.

Re: shock protector for V6 box remote control

Hi a rubber cover would be ideal if one were made to fit, in the meantime try to keep out of reach. Regards Micky

Re: shock protector for V6 box remote control

I would love to find a silicone remote case which gives it a flat back as the remote is the most stupid design. Both Virgin and Sky have gone for ergonomic shaped remotes which are predominantly round on the back. This means any time you put it down it rolls off. I seem to spend my life looking for the bleedin’ thing as its always rolled off and disappeared down the side of the of the sofa or under the coffee table. I expect someone got paid thousands to come up with this utter crap design which doesnt work in the real world.

Re: shock protector for V6 box remote control

The front is flat.

Placed front down, it’s also presents the correct side, the back, to pick it up.

Re: shock protector for V6 box remote control

Maybe one of the enterprising VM members could manufacture and sell shock protectors for the remotes. Might be a money spinner for them?

VM could maybe get into the market too and produce them in football club colours, or movie characters etc?
