rte radio 1 not authorised?

Just flicking through and see that RTE Radio1 comes up as 'not authorised'. Why is that?

Works ok for me. what TV package are you on?

Edit:. Looking at the latest programme guide it should be available on all TV packages

I'm on pretty much the lowest of the low when it comes to TV packages but didn't think there was a difference in the amount of radio stations. And 'if' it wasn't part of my package then surely when I am channel hopping it would just skip past the channel as it does with TV channels?

Same message has appeared on my TV last week and is still there this morning. I have the FULL HOUSE bundle so I think it's either a technical glitch or contractual matter. I spoke to the VM technical team who are not aware of any technical issues so I have to get back to the sales team in due course.

In the meantime, ROSE_B did you get back to bobbles69 last February and answer OP

Yep this is definitely a technical glitch which still hasn't been fixed. Could this be raised with the VM technical team please.

I spoke to both the technical team and customer services a few weeks ago and absolutely nobody knows why RTE 1 is not available. They don't even know whom they can ask either. All they could say (do) is to shrug their shoulders advised me to keep trying to select the channel...DOH!

I've just moved to Virgin from Sky so disappointed to see that there's this ongoing issue. It must be frustrating for long-term customers.

This has been with the technical team for some considerable time. The fact is the problem is not consistent. Some boxes of the same type have the problem & others don't.

I installed a new V6 TV box last Monday and noticed on Friday that I was getting a not authorised message when I tried to listen to RTE Radio 1 on channel 917. I hadn't noticed it with the previous TIvo box. I phoned 150 yesterday and 3 help desk staff tried to resolve with out success. They set me up with an engineer appointment but I've since found out that others are experiencing this problem so an engineer visit is unlikely to resolve the issue.
