really bad quality of picture

Hi we recently changed from Sky, the picture quality across all channels are really. the pixelation is really bad.  we have only been with virgin from the 23rd July 2020.  to say we are really disappointed is an understatement.  Can someone get back to us asap

Have you tried a different HDMI lead or socket?

You can go into the V6 box settings and adjust to suit.

Help & Settings > Settings > Video Output > Video Output  Format

You can test different formats from there, or leave the V6 auto - detect which format it believes is best for your TV

Hi again carlapall1973,

Have you checked for any faults by clicking on Check service status at the top of the page?

You can also run a test from there.

There's also the Service Status number  0800 561 0061.  This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level.

Firstly can you share your setup with us, make and model of TV. I assume you have a V6?

What settings do you have for the HDMI output on the V6?

Also are there any particular channels that are affected? If it genuinely is all channels, it would strongly suggest something not right with your video output or TV settings somewhere, or a dodgy HDMI cable.

You're going to have to supply a lot more information than that if we are to help.

Firstly, as already asked, what video output settings are you using on the V6 box?

What is the make and model of the TV? And are you using out of the box settings for that?

Have you tried a different HDMI cable? Is the new one high speed.

Re the picture quality, when you say pixelated, is this permanent on all channels or does this come and go? I.e. could this just be a signal issue? Can you post a picture of what you see?
