no sound on 1 channel only

on the tv channel COLORS RISHTEY there is no sound but sound is working for all other channels

how to fix?

Is there any evidence of picture breakup?

You don't mention it, but worth checking on the long-shot this is a signal issue. Unfortunately being a premium-channel it'll need VM (or someone else who subscribes to this) to attempt replication.

There’s no picture breakup but the sound comes for 1 second every 5-10mins then no sound.

 

how to check if this is a signal issue?

A signal issue tends to cause pixellation & picture breakup first, then broken sound afterwards.

You're not describing a signal fault, I suspect this is a broadcaster issue if no other channels are affected.

Hi @mayar08 

Check the following channels which are carried on the same mux as Colors Rishtey

Blaze, ITV4 +1, TCM, Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Mix, Comedy Central Extra, QVC Extra and QVC Beauty.

If they have no sound it's likely a signal issue.

If they have sound then it's a broadcaster issue.

The other channels you listed have no sound issues. On sky the sound is working perfectly for colors rishtey 

its only on virgin with the problem, so surely it isn’t a broadcaster issue

Agree this is a Virgin issue and not broadcaster as it works correctly with other operators

Issue still not resolved. Audio is now intermittent and subtitles non existent. Virgin seem clueless to resolve

Thanks for your post, and welcome to our Community.

I'm sorry to hear you, and some others, are experiencing problems with the Colors Rishtey channel. I've checked with our TV Team, and they have advised that there is no wider issue on the network causing these problems. Can you please try rebooting your TV Box fully by switching it off at the back for 30 seconds, before switching it back on again?

In addition, do you have any additional sound devices connected to your TV, for example, a Sound Bar? If so, can you try removing these to see if the issue remains?
