new hub now v6 boxes don't communicate

I got a new hub today as my wifi was not working properly. The engineer connected my 3 tivo boxes to the network. The main one with an ethernet cable and the others wifi, but now my boxes won't connect to each other at all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: new hub now v6 boxes don't communicate

All V6 boxes rely on a connection to your homehub for multibox-streaming and the internet.

If you've had your hub changed, then unless any individual box is using Ethernet, they won't know about your new WiFi SSID or password.

Follow Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network to reconnect them.

Re: new hub now v6 boxes don't communicate

Under Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network, this should report your connection status (and WiFi strength if appropriate) in the top-right. What's it say?

If you choose the option "Connect to Virgin Media service now" at the bottom, and wait perhaps 15minutes, what's the outcome?

On the LHS, the status of the 6hourly calls home should be shown - is it showing success or a reason for failure?

Re: new hub now v6 boxes don't communicate

HI weejude, thanks for the message and sorry to hear that you are having issues with the connection, can you confirm if you are still having issues with this? Did you manage to do what japitts said? What was the outcome of this? Chris

Re: new hub now v6 boxes don't communicate

Hi, I've only had time to look at this again today.

Network connection page: Top right  Ethernet connection details:  (this is blank)

IP addr.:

Mac ID:

Top left Las status: Succeeded

I have tried connecting them again and waiting 15 mins but without success.

If I go into Network diagnostics it always says Port Configuration Test: Testing

If I go into that, it comes up as Failed

Thanks.

Re: new hub now v6 boxes don't communicate

Sounds like the V6 > Hub connection clearly isn't working. I'm presuming that other devices connected to your SH are working ok - can you confirm?

1: Make sure the Ethernet cable is clicked into place at both ends - on your V6 and on the Superhub. If you're not sure, click them out and back in.

2: Unplug the Ethernet cable at the V6 end and the box should prompt you to connect via WiFi. Follow those prompts and see if you can get connected.

3: Regardless of the outcome of "2", plug the Ethernet cable back in, see if this makes any difference.

Re: new hub now v6 boxes don't communicate

Yes, all other devices are connected to the hub and working fine.
I've followed all the steps, but it's still not working.
Everything else is working fine, on demand, etc. It's just the connection between the boxes that's gone.

What happened after trying step 2 above?

Can you be a bit more specific.
