Virgin Media won't call you to ask if there's a problem, if that's what you mean. But their credit process will kick in, and cause you some added hassle.
Is this error with just one specific title?
Also you've posted in the V6 forum but if you've joined VM in the last 6months you won't have a V6 but a 360. Does your remote look like the below?..
