netflix app won't install

Hi, I've tried loading the netflix app on both of my v6 boxes, and its stuck on the wait for app to install message,

I've tried restarting the box, switched off for 10 mins and then switched back on, i've ran a network test, but still 3 hours later it still says wait while app installs,

is there an issue with this app?

Hi there

Have you tired going to the menu screen & going to help& setting.

Then go to clear & reset option.

Restart Tivo

Then press thumbs down three times then last channel.

This will restart the v6 then go to network settings & connect to network wait for this to complete.

Then try the Netflix app again.

The Netflix app should be preinstalled on the box. Try Home → Help&Settings → System Info → Netflix Account Information, and select Sign Out of Netflix Account. Then try the Netflix app.

Are you using your own router with the hub in modem mode?

If you are, you need to either make sure that you have your DNS set to use Virgin's (194.168.4.100, 194.168.8.100) or put the hub back to router mode and connect your V6 boxes to the hub. Reboot your V6's

Once you've done that you should be able to initialise the app.  Once done, you can revert to your original set up.

cheers it did certainly appear to be the DNS settings, i've so far changed the dns settings, loaded up the app and change them back,

I'll wait and see if this holds

 

but so far so good
