frozen screen

Hi

my tivo v6 box is frozen on the home screen. Before this happened i was messing about on the paired devices screen. I have done something but because the box has froze, i cannot do anything to put it right.  Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Geoff,

have you tried disconnecting the V6 from the mains for 10/15 minutes?

I did try disconnecting the box but maybe not for that long.

managed to get through to virgin (after waiting about 1 hour). They rebooted my system, the screen was still frozen, but i then had to hold the info button on the remote for a few seconds and then, hey presto everything back to normal.      BUT FOR HOW LONG !!!!  we will see.

Hi again tobytyke11,

Thanks for the update and letting us know how it was resolved.  The workaround should help others with the same problem. 

I'd never heard of holding down the info button for a few seconds to fix a frozen screen, but will make a point in remembering that.
