cable disconnect pop up box

Just had a V6 box installed and connected wirelessly, now I keep getting a pop up box asking me if I want a wired connection, I select no, it says ok, tells me cable is diconnected and goes. 10 minutes later it does it all over again. I'm guessing I can just unplug the cable but I am not remotely techie and want to be sure it's okay to do so before I go yanking out cables that should be left alone.

Thanks for any help, it's appreciated.

All VM's TV boxes require 2 connections.

1: The coax cable carrying live TV signals - this is non-negotiable, the box won't work without it.

2: An internet connection (via your homehub) which can be wired or wireless.

Do you have both?

I have 3 cables, aerial, thin one to internet box and one to tv

Just to confirm, which box do you have?

Can you check here before anyone advises further? What you're describing sounds a little odd for a V6

Trouble is, the V6 and the newer V360 use the same box but fundamentally different software.

Can you take a picture of the popup box you're getting, and post it on here?

And the same for what you're seeing under Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network - a picture would be great.

Allow time for the photos to be manually approved 🙂

Was planning to take pics tonight and it hasn't happened. Did unplug my amp today (surround sound isn't working anyway & weirdly someone nearby has a remote on the same frequency & keeps trying to program it), so I don't know if that was affecting it. If it happens again I'll get back in touch. Thanks for your help. Nice to know there are people out there who will help. Stay safe.😊
