Wireless HDMI Extender

Hi
Looking for some help with connecting a TV in another room to one of my V6 boxes. Moving the V6 would be best way but can't see an obvious way to route cable around house. Don't want to run long HDMI cables either. Looking a wireless HDMI

Anybody done this and can make recommendations on which solution. TV is about 10m from V6 box with a kitchen wall in-between. 4K isn't essential but abilty to use remote is.

The important thing to note is that VMs TV boxes are very fussy as regards HDCP compliance. Make sure any kit you buy is HDCP 2.2 at least, even if you are not using 4K.

VM BB TV Landline. Vonage 2nd line. Freeview/Freesat HD, ASDA/Tesco PAYG Mobile. Customer since 1993

Thanks for this. Still interested if anyone has any recommendations on actual real use and kit please.

Hi CJS, thanks for posting on our forum page with your queries.

Sorry to hear you cannot move your TV box where you want it without hassle, we do not support Wireless HDMI through our equipment and services however we'd be happy to help out. in case you don't find a wireless kit that suits you or don't want to go for this solution, we could arrange an engineer to relocate your V6 box and do the cabling work needed for this.

Let us know how you get on and if found what you're looking for.
Should you wish to go ahead with this arrangement for relocating the box, it would be a chargeable visit of £25 one off cost on your next bill.

Regards,

Adri

Virgin were unable to move my V6 box as they can’t physically get a cable to the other side of my house without going under my decking which they won’t do.
Back to original question. Can somebody recommend a wireless HDMI extender that works reliably with Virgin?

Thank you for replying.

I am unable to watch tv from the v6 as the hdmi runs short and i cannot/dont want a really long cable going through the room. The v6 is placed on the opposite side of the room of the television, i know there are wireless hdmi extenders but have seen virgin can find a way to relocate the box, i am wondering if this is possible? Or any further recommendations are appreciated.

thanks
