Will this work?????

I want to be able to watch my V6 in another room. I have no requirement to watch different channels on different TV's but the same channel on different TV's. I don't want any new wiring as my TV's are wall mounted so the cables are already within the walls. My question is if I get a 2nd V6 box from VM and use the Powerline adapters, can I connect my 2 boxes so effectively I have a crewed version of Sky Q or will I still need a VM signal supply to my 2nd box?

Re: Will this work?????

You always need a coaxial cable, your best bet would be some sort of wireless hdmi extender

Re: Will this work?????

Cable TV is not IPTV. It uses multiplexed broadcast streams such as you receive from a dish or TV aerial, so the tuners in the box will not work without a coaxial cable attached.

Virgin BB TV Landline. Freeview/Freesat HD, Virgin Mobile, Tesco Mobile. Cable customer since 1993

Re: Will this work?????

Within reasonable distance you can use an HDMI splitter to connect the V6 to the second TV via another length of HDMI cable or a wireless HDMI extender (but this is costly and will not work as well as a cable).
