Wifi switches off

I was actually hoping to contact virgin media but it only shows a list of possible answers to problems. Regularly when watching tv my connection cuts off. It's taken me 20 minutes tonight before it goes on again. Anyone have any reasonable answer to this and is it just something I should expect to accept?

Re: Wifi switches off

Can you explain what you mean by "when watching tv my connection cuts off"?

Do you mean your broadband fails and all your connected devices (wired or wireless) go offline?

Or something else? I'm certainly curious by the TV reference!

Re: Wifi switches off

Do you mean via a VM TV box? Or just via a TV connecting to the internet on terrestrial channels?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 1 WiFi, 1 on PA) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On 250Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Re: V6 Box losing wifi connection

Losing signal yet again. I am so fed up with this. Trying to watch tv and everything stops then have to wait for it to boot up again! Can't login to virgin media either to report this is becoming more frequent. Sorry for ranting.

Re: V6 Box losing wifi connection

We may well be able to help you on here, but I'm not clear what your problem is.

Are you reporting that your V6 TV box is losing wireless connection to the Internet, but live TV is OK?

Or something else? What do you mean by "have to wait for it to boot up again"? Is the V6 box restarting, or is this just an app issue?

Re: V6 Box losing wifi connection

Thanks for coming back to us @Pollybag

Are you having issues with live TV and on-demand content or just on-demand content and apps such as BBC iPlayer?

Regards,
